Where can I park and end my trip?

To end the trip, you need to be inside the Home Area. The Home Area is our operative area, in which SHARE NOW cars free-float around the city. You can park for free on any legal public street parking space within this area. It's possible to park and end your trip in drop off zones outside the city in your Home Area, but a drop off fee will apply.

What is a Home Area? Can I drive outside of it?

Think of the Home Area as our operating area, in which our cars free-float around the city and where you can park on the streets for free. You may leave the Home Area, but you must drive back to the same Home Area to end the trip.

If you're driving an electric car, please note that the range of a fully charged electric smart can go up to 100 km, a BMW i3 or can go up to 200 km, while a Peugeot e-208 and Opel Corsa-e can go up to 300 km.

Drop off zones are part of the Home Area. A drop off fee applies when you park the car and end your trip in drop off zones (marked "Zone A" or "Zone B" on the Home Area map). In some cases, a fee is also charged for pick-up from a drop off zone.

Can I park SHARE NOW cars in private parking garages, for example, inside a shopping mall?

Well, okay, but on 3 conditions:

  1. You pay for the parking fees yourself.
  2. You don't end your trip inside the parking garage.
  3. You park the car back on public street parking when you're done.
How can I park and keep my car?

Doing a stopover with SHARE NOW is easy. First, park the car and shut all doors and windows. Follow the steps below:

  1. In the app, select Manage Trip ▶ Stopover. This will lock the doors.
  2. To continue driving, open the app and select Manage Trip ▶ Continue trip. This will unlock the doors.
  3. To end your trip, park the car and shut all doors and windows. In the app, select Manage Trip ▶ End trip.

Important: Stopover time counts as part of your total trip duration. If you have selected an hourly or daily rate, stopover time will continue to use up the time you have booked. If you have selected the minute rate, stopover time will be billed according to the minute rate.

What to do if the airport parking barrier doesn't lift automatically?

If the barrier doesn't open, simply use the parking access card in the blue plastic bag placed in the glove compartment.

Please always put the card back in its place after usage!

Can I drive to another city?

How to find the Allee dedicated car park?

Follow the signs indicating the electric charging points on level P3. In front of the electric charging stations you will find 4 parking spaces with SHARE NOW signs, in the J3 sector.

Can I park my car at charging stations?

Yes and no. You can park the car at charging stations while the car is actively charging, but it is not always allowed to end your trip there. We always try to reach the best agreement possible for you in each city. This means parking regulations always depends on the city:

Can I park in the Liget garage?

Yes! If you visit the City Park, you can park your SHARE NOW cars for free in the Museum Underground Garage in the test period starting from 1 September 2021. Follow these few easy steps to use the service:

Getting to the Liget Garage

  1. Open the app and reserve a SHARE NOW car.
  2. Use the navigation to easily get to the SHARE NOW Liget Garage (Budapest, Dózsa György út, 1146).
  3. When you arrive at the car park, go through the crossing gates (as you reach the entrance, the crossing gates will open automatically when the system recognizes your car's license plate) and follow the SHARE NOW signs.
  4. You will find the SHARE NOW parking spaces on Level P1, in the middle, marked in dark green (Carsharing Zone).
  5. Park the car and end your trip.
  6. You can use the elevator or the stairs to leave the garage.

Leaving the garage

  1. Book a car by clicking on the "P" sign in the SHARE NOW app.
  2. Enter the license plate number of the selected car into one of the parking kiosks at the pedestrian entrances, then you can call the elevator. Pro tip: The parking spaces are the closest to entrances C and D - It’s well worth using them.
  3. Find your car, start your trip and leave the garage. The crossing gates open automatically.

Please note that during the test period, you may experience poor signal strength in the underground garage, however, this will not affect your rental, because your phone connects to the SHARE NOW car via Bluetooth.

What do the smaller areas within the Home Area mean on the map?

These areas are excluded from the zone for various reasons (e.g. parking bans).
