At DriveNow, we want to provide a sustainable and environmentally friendly mobility option for Londoners. This means working alongside other forms of transport such as the tube, trains, buses, cycling and walking. It’s really easy to adopt a multi-modal lifestyle and use DriveNow along with other forms of transport. In fact, DriveNow members actually cycle and walk more than non-DriveNow members:
- 32% of our customers cycle at least once a week compared to 9% of the resident population*
- In 2016 there was a 6% increase in the number of DriveNow members walking a minimum of 20 minutes once per week after joining*
And when it comes to the train and tube:
- 31% of DriveNow members travel by train at least once a week compared to 16% of residents*.
- 57% of members travel by tube at least once a week compared to the London average of 40%*.
So how can you embrace a multi-modal lifestyle? Kings Cross is on the edge of our business area - park a DriveNow nearby, walk to the station and catch your train on time! Liverpool Street Station is also near the border of our business area – it’s easy to drive to and park close by so you can walk a short distance and conveniently catch a tube or train. DriveNow is also particularly convenient in areas where public transport isn’t as easily accessible and sometimes it’s faster to drive to a major transport station and go from there – just like Park and Ride. Driven to dinner in Shoreditch or Upper Street but planning on having a big night? The great thing about DriveNow is that you don’t need to leave the car in a designated car club bay. Just leave it parked in a residents’ or pay and display bay for free in the DriveNow Zone and take the tube or bus to get home safely. Take a DriveNow to Stratford International Car Park – walk to Westfield Stratford to do all your shopping and then take a car home with all your bags. On a Brompton Bike but got caught out in the rain? Grab a DriveNow, fold down the bike and put it in the boot. You’ll be warm and dry on your way home! Away for the weekend with a 2, 3 or 4 day package? Choose a BMW 1 Series and lay the back seats down flat so you can fit your bikes and hiking boots in. *Carplus Annual Survey 2016/17
