The DriveNow app gets you ready to set off
With the aim of making your life as easy as possible, we've been busy working on improving the DriveNow app. We've added loads of new features, so now you can get started before you're even behind the wheel.
Once you've reserved your car, you can enter all important details about your journey:
- Is it a private or a business trip?
- Do you want to book the Collision damage waiver to reduce your excess
- Are you looking for an Hourly package? You can choose packages ranging from 3 to 24 hours
- Add your destination directly in the app by clicking on "Destination" and the GPS will start guiding you once you switched on the engine.
All of these settings are now available exclusively in our app. You can also check and modify the information at any time before you open the car.
Let the app take the stress out of finding your DriveNow car, by using our "Flash Lights" feature at the airport, for example.
On the way to your car, you can already check the existing damages by clicking on "Damages" in the app. Once you reach your car, you can check if there are new damages and report them to the customer service.
As soon as you approach the car up to 150 meters, you will be able to unlock it with one touch via the app. All you have to do now is entering the PIN in the app or in the car and you're off! If you need any help getting on your way, the "Help getting started" feature in the app does exactly that!
Good to know: Your rental starts with the PIN entry in the app or in the car so that you are only charged from then on. Furthermore, you are from now on informed by SMS only in case something should go wrong with your reservation.
Of course, you are still able to reserve all cars at the drop of a hat by holding your DriveNow customer card up to the reader in the windscreen. When you reserve in this way, you can check for damages directly in the car, select between a private or business trip, or book one of our packages.
